Autumn term 2023
Dear parents and children,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer holiday and are looking forward to a new academic year!
Welcome to the Year 2 class page. I have added an updated 'Meet the Teacher' PowerPoint for 2023 under the mortarboard logo where you will find updated information about our class and the year ahead.
Our PE days will be confirmed during the first week back. Please ensure that your child arrives at school wearing their full, St. Anne's PE kit and that any stud earrings have already been removed. Long hair should be tied up.
Homework will be sent out via Google Classroom on a Friday, to be handed in on a Wednesday. I will introduce you to Google Classroom and explain how it works during the 'Meet the Teacher' meeting in September. Spelling tests will be completed in class on a Friday.
On our class page, you will find further information about our class and curriculum. You may also enjoy looking at our photographs page for pictures throughout the term.
If you have any queries or concerns throughout the year, then please contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can fill out the contact form below which sends a message directly to my email address.

Spellings will also be sent out on Fridays on the same homework assignment on Google Classroom. Children will be tested on their spellings on the following Friday.
Please sign your child's reading record book each time they have been heard read. You are also welcome to record comments about additional books that your child has read for enjoyment.
Our PE days will be confirmed in September. Children will need to arrive at school wearing their full, St. Anne's school PE kit. Please ensure that earrings have already been removed on these days. Long hair must be tied up.
