Year 2
March 2023
Dear parents and children,
I hope you all had a wonderful half-term. Please find the updated Parent Planner for Spring term 2 on our class page.
Our PE days have now changed to a Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that your child arrives at school wearing their full, St. Anne's PE kit on these days. Any stud earrings should be removed beforehand.
Homework will continue to be sent out via Google Classroom on a Friday, to be handed in on a Wednesday. Spelling tests and final Learn it's tests will be completed in class on a Friday.
On our class page, you will find further information about our class and curriculum. You may also enjoy looking at our photographs page for pictures throughout the term.
If you have any queries or concerns throughout the year, then please contact me via email at hjones@st-annes.walsall.sch.uk. Alternatively, you can fill out the contact form below which sends a message directly to my email address.
Best wishes,
Miss Jones

Homework
Homework will be sent out via Google Classroom on Fridays and is due in on Wednesdays. Your child will bring home their Google Classroom login in September. Spellings will also be sent out on Fridays on the same homework assignment on Google Classroom. Children will be tested on their spellings on the following Friday.
Reading books
We endeavour to listen to your child read regularly throughout the week. Please sign your child's reading record book each time they have been heard read. You are also welcome to record comments about additional books that your child has read for enjoyment.
PE
Our PE days are Wednesdays (Cheerleading) with a cheerleader coach and Fridays (Dance) with Mrs Swann. Children will need to arrive at school wearing their full, St. Anne's school PE kit. Please ensure that earrings have already been removed on these days. Long hair must be tied up.
