Friday’s Celebration Assembly

Every Friday parents and family are invited to join us at our Friday Celebration Assembly. The whole school come together at the end of the week to celebrate the good work and attitudes by many children through the week.

Mrs Johnston begins the assembly by welcoming Jesus and sharing a Gospel reading from the Wednesday Word. We hear how Pope Francis wants us to pray or act our our Catholic life. We then share a hymn and move to congratulating the children. The weekly awards are given out and teachers get an opportunity to share the attributes that children have displayed or the good work produced to achieve the class award. Children get the opportunity to share proud achievements from outside school which are then displayed on our ‘proud cloud’. Sporting awards from inter school tournaments are also given out.

Finally, and most importantly, the house points trophy is awarded to the winning house group.
