For those of you who have written your letter beacuse you were at school on Wednesday, you are now on the next part of English of Diary of a Killer Cat. This will be writing

a reply to the letter that you wrote in school. In the video I show a letter from another child last year and then I model how to write your reply. You can do your work on Google classroom if you like and I can print it.

MATHS WORK FOR MONDAY 17th JANUARY 2022

We have been learning about fractions in Year 3 last week and will continue to do this this week. I made this video in school last year to help with equivalent fractions. Chidlren can watch this to revise their fraction learning. Perhaps children could get strips of paper ready and do the same as me in the video. In the second video I have used a website which children should also open at the same time to show the equivalent fractions. This is the website

https://st-annes-sutton-coldfield.primarysite.media/media/fraction-wall-lesson-wed-24th

This is a link to an interactive fraction wall the children can also usehttps://www.visnos.com/demos/fraction-wall

If children have done this . then please use this link to find the video entitled Monday’s maths video (ignore any dates as this is from last year) and then complete the sheet I have saved under this document.

MATHS TIMESTABLE AND DIVISION CHALLENGES

In class the children complete these challenges below on  weekly basis. First they start with the 33 club. When they answer all the questions correctly in 3 minutes 3 times they then move onto the 66 club. For the 66 club they have 5 minutes and must complete the challenge 3 times and then they move on to the 99 club. For the 99 club they have 8 minutes. It is very rare for someone to complete the 99 club 3 times in year 3. Have go at these at home. The downloads are not good quality but if you would like any paper copies of these challenges, please let me know and I will prepare them.
