 Dear Parents,

Each day I will put a learning plan on this page. Children should use their Maths Pupil book to complete the exercises into their blue Maths exercise books. If there is anything that is not clear, please email me. If all work cannot be completed on that day, then please do the activities the following day.  I understand that children work at different paces, so this is only a guideline. Of course, the reading activities have to be completed in order otherwise the tasks will not make sense. I have also asked children to choose three reading books for home so that they can complete reading journal activities. I will add grammar, spelling and maths activities to this page for children to complete. The expectation for Year 3 is that they should complete an hour of Maths, an hour of English (Writing task, reading test or grammar test) and reading journal activities every day. In addition, I have put some other textbooks in children's bag in case they are wanting to do more activities. I simply cleared them out of my cupboard and thought some children might find them useful.  Finally, i have given the children their I belong books back and will be directing children to activities to do to prepare them for their Sacrament.

In addition, I will download many PowerPoints and activities on the Year 3 class pages for children to continue their Science and Geography learning.

On this page you can also find useful websites – Twinkl, Classroom Secrets and Timestable Rockstars. I will be guiding you to activities to do on these pages. The children have their Purple Mash and Timestable Rockstars logins glued to their purple folders.  Maths and English exercise books will be sent home for the children to complete any of this work.

We encourage children to share any work they have done which they are proud of. Parents can email me their work (a photograph) and I will put the work on the www for others to share.

Please look at the first day's plan below. Many thanks

Thank you for your support during this challenging time.

Science

Our science topic which we were about to start this Week is Rocks and Soils. Obviously, this topic involves a lot of practical work involving rocks and soils which we have prepared here at school. Therefore, i have uploaded some powerpoints which children can use for their information and have given them a Textbook entitled rocks and Soils (if not the book then a photocopy) fort hem to complete activities in their yellow textbook. Obviously if children  cannot do the activities because they do not have access to the soils or rocks, then please leave those activities out.
