School closures information
January 5th 2021
Hello Year 3,
Another period of home learning starts today Year 3! I am sorry we cannot be together over the coming days but I know that you will all continue to work hard at home over the next week and a half. Today please access the home learning packs which I have uploaded below. I have uploaded a Home learning Pack with Maths and English activities and a Spring Isolation pack with English and Reading activities. Please choose activities from one of these booklets for today. Tomorrow the normal schedule of Home Learning will resume.
From tomorrow, everyday you will find the Daily Learning Schedules which will tell you about all of the tasks that you need to complete each day. All of the worksheets and resources that you will need can be found on the website but if there is anything that you are having trouble finding please get in touch with me! The tasks will be posted each morning by 9 am and I am contactable all day via email should you need any help or advice.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon and I can't wait to hear how you are all getting on learning from home again,

MATHS TIMESTABLE AND DIVISION CHALLENGES
In class the children complete these challenges below on weekly basis. First they start with the 33 club. When they answer all the questions correctly in 3 minutes 3 times they then move onto the 66 club. For the 66 club they have 5 minutes and must complete the challenge 3 times and then they move on to the 99 club. For the 99 club they have 8 minutes. It is very rare for someone to complete the 99 club 3 times in year 3. Have go at these at home. The downloads are not good quality but if you would like any paper copies of these challenges, please let me know and I will prepare them.

Science
Our science topic which we were about to start this Week is Rocks and Soils. Obviously, this topic involves a lot of practical work involving rocks and soils which we have prepared here at school. Therefore, i have uploaded some powerpoints which children can use for their information and have given them a Textbook entitled rocks and Soils (if not the book then a photocopy) fort hem to complete activities in their yellow textbook. Obviously if children cannot do the activities because they do not have access to the soils or rocks, then please leave those activities out.
