Sports Premium Effect and Sustainability
At St. Anne's we are committed to improving the health of all of our pupils. We are working hard as a school to ensure that all pupils have access to a range of high quality PE lessons, experience a range of extra curricular activities and participate in competitions across the Catholic Cluster of primary schools and the Streetly Network.
Since January 2019 all pupils in all year groups are participating in at least 2 hours of curriculum PE time. Most year groups also receive extra fitness sessions.
From September 2021, the governors have appointed a Forest School teacher to support our pupils with their outdoor learning, ensuring that they are active in an outdoor environment, whilst developing a sense of well-being. In 2023, school trained their own Forest school Leader and we now have a qualified Forest School Leader in school. This allows us to deliver quality provision across the school.
The staff and governors at St. Anne's are committed to establishing positive attitudes to sustainable healthy habits in all of our pupils. Our curriculum ensures that there are ample opportunities to discuss the importance of a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally.
