Walsall FC Kids Cup Y5/Y6 Autumn 2025
One of our favourites tournaments of the year for our year 5/6 footballers. We were put into a really strong group but the boys started off really well, winning 1-0, 6-0, 5-0 and 3-0. We needed to take a draw from our last game against Meadow View to go through to the final and that we did! The boys defended with such determination that the opposition didn't manage a shot on target. We played the final against a very experienced Cooper and Jordan. Unfortunately, the result didn't go out way, losing 1-0. Congratulations and good luck to Cooper and Jordan in the Walsall Finals but also congratulations to the squad who represented our school. You made everyone very proud of your attitude and sportsmanship.

School Games Y5/Y6 Netball Autumn 2025
A few of the girls were quite nervous attending this event, some not knowing the full positions for Bee Netball. We came away with some wins, some learning and new friendships made. Well done girls.

School Games Y3/Y4 Boys Football Autumn 2025
Thank you to the School Games Organisers for putting on the Y3/Y4 football festival. We came away with lots of experience and lots of wins. Well done boys!

BCSSA Y6 Boy and Girls Football Autumn 2025
Our second year entering this event for the Birmingham Catholic School Sports Competition for the girls, first time for the boys.
We were determined to come away with a trophy, having had to take back the winners trophy from last year's girls, everyone was feeling positive and the games for both teams started really well.
The girls came up against some really strong and physical schools but their determination meant that we're progressing well throughout the day. A couple of close games resulting in a defeat meant that we ended up in the 3rd and 4th place off place. Physically, the opposition were so much taller and stronger - the girls finished in 4th place. Well done girls - a really tough day but you did the school proud.
The boys competed really well throughout the day and played some fantastic football. They deservedly made it through to the final but unfortunately lost 4-2. The trophy is proudly displayed in the school reception area for everyone to see.

School Games Y4 Football Autumn 2025
Our sporty Year 4 girls attended the Streetly Games Girls Football Engage Event on a cold Tuesday evening. To give the girls more opportunity to play, we had enough to join forces with Lindens school to field a second team. Both teams won all their games, only conceding one goal, but more importantly, they played some excellent football at times. Well done to all the girls who got their first goal for St Anne's!

School Games Benchball Autumn 2025
The same day as the footgolf but this time we had Year 6 attend the School Games Benchball Inspire Event. All children were encouraged to come together as a group to see if they could improve their game throughout the session. Although no scores were taken, our competitive nature meant we had a close eye on how we were getting on , coming away with 1 draw and four wins.

School Games Footgolf Autumn 2025
A group of year 5 students headed over to Aldridge Airfield to take part in the Inspire event - Footgolf. A different set up to previous years where children also had the opportunity to have a go at frisbee golf.
the children had to follow the map around the course and write down the scores they achieved to see if they were under/over par.

School Games Cross Country Autumn 2025
The first event of the school year and the first event for many of our children - KS2 Cross Country, organised by the School Games Organisers, Mr Sanders and Mr Stringer. We had 29 pupils take part in the event which was broken down into ;
Y3 - 1200m
Y4 - 1400m
Y5 - 1600m
Y6 - 1800m
A superb effort by all the children, living by the motto "it's not about being the best, but doing your best".
We had a few 2nd place finishes from children in year 4 and 5 - an exceptional effort! Well done to all.
