Nursery

Welcome to Nursery!

Dudley Zoo

We had a fantastic day at Dudley Zoo! The children's behaviour was outstanding and they all learnt lots of new facts about the animals. We were extremely lucky to see the lions and tigers and we even shared our lunch with a peacock smiley

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are well underway with the summer term despite the recent terrible weather. We are looking forward to our Nursery trip to Dudley Zoo. Can we stress that children have to carry bags with them all day, there is nowhere to store the bags so we suggest a small rucksack type bag. In this bag please include a throwaway packed lunch and drink, a rain mac and a change of underwear (just in case!). Obviously if we are blessed with the sunshine please ensure children have sun hats and sun cream applied before hand.

Please let us know of any travel sickness so we may be prepared!

There is a change of date for Nursery. Nursery will now be closed on Wednesday, 10th July for the new Nursery intake instead of Friday, 12th July, so just to clarify Nursery will be open Friday, 12th July.

Many thanks for your continued support and co-operation,

Mrs Edgerton and Mrs Lingwood.

Nursery church visit : Tuesday, 25th June 2019

Dear Parents/Carers,

Nursery will be attending church on Tuesday, 25th June 2019. Please drop your children at church for 8.45am start. Club children will be taken to church by a member of staff. Children will sit with Nursery staff at the front. You are welcome to stay for the church visit.

Please ensure your child has been to the toilet beforehand.

Children will walk back holding the hands of the Year 5 children which all children seem to really enjoy!

Any help with walking back supervision will be appreciated!

Many thanks,

Mrs Edgerton and the Nursery Team

Wednesday, 15th May 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another super week in nursery. Please see the photographs we have taken of your children being very 'Active and Curious'. We are busy building our 'Active and Curious' display in class. Many thanks for the photographs you have sent in already and please could we have any others you may have so we can add to our wall!

We have reminded the children about healthy eating and in their lunch boxes too! We are encouraging them to eat the healthy products first and chocolate/crisps etc. are a 'treat' at the end and they are responding well to this.

Many thanks for your continued support,

Mrs Edgerton and Mrs Lingwood.

PE lessons take place every Monday. Please make sure earrings are removed (or covered with tape/plasters) on this day and long hair is tied up. Children are expected to put on their own PE kits so please support independent changing at home as this will help them within school.

Lunch time, please think very carefully about the contents and ensure they are filled with healthy options. Children should not be bringing sweets or chocolate in their packed lunch. Yoghurts and fruit are preferable to these.

Homework consists of a library book your child has chosen from our class library. They will also have their own Sound and Number book which is tailored to their own individual learning. Later on in the term they will get letter and number formation sheets which supports learning in class (these can be done practically with sand, paint etc. too). Each child has their own reading day which can be found written in the front of their books. Please ensure they have their Sound/Number book and Library book on this day.
