Work to be Proud of

R.E.
We have been learning about the importance of the Paschal candle which is sometimes called the Easter candle.  Each of the symbols have their own special meaning and Delilah and Joel have remembered to include them in their lovely Paschal candle designs.

English

We have started writing our Chick Diaries and have been thinking about writing well punctuated sentences and using adjectives for description.

Science

Learning about the life cycle of a hen whilst watching the chicks hatch and grow in our own classroom!
During Science and Engineering Week in March, the children designed and made their own moving vehicles.  They then tested their moving vehicles in the hall, making sure it was a fair test.  The fastest of all of the vehicles was Bobby and Isla's.  Was it because of their aerodynamic design?

Handwriting
We have been working really hard in our daily handwriting lessons practising our new handwriting scheme.  Here are a few examples of handwriting to be very proud of!
Maths
Excellent addition, adding a single digit number to a 2-digit number and spotting patterns too!
Good examples of accurate subtraction within 20, using a number line, from Ruby and Noah.  Bravo!
