Raising money for Children in Need - November 2020

Today we said goodbye to Mrs Twomey as she retires after 25 years working in kids club. We had a socially distanced leavers assembly with the staff and children in kids club. Thank you for all the love, care and kindness you’ve shown to us Mrs Twomey. Enjoy your retirement!

Today we celebrated Father Gwil’s 20th Anniversary of ordination as a Catholic Priest. He came to school to say Mass for the Year 4 children to celebrate them making their First Holy Communion. There was a big surprise for him at the end of the Mass. Sister Lizzie, Michael Flower (Chair of Governors) and Mrs Johnston all said a few words about his vocation to the priesthood, the enormous amount of work he has done in the parish and the support he has given the children at school to further develop their Catholic faith. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions, this presentation was done with just the Year 4 class bubble and not the whole school as would normally be the case. However, the children in the rest of the school have remembered Father Gwil in their prayers. I’m sure he will enjoy the gifts given to him!

The fabulous new boat to enhance the EYFS outdoor area. Reception children were playing with it minutes after taking delivery!
