Nursery Photographs 2021 - 2022

We listened to the story ‘The Jack and the Beanstalk’ and then planted beans for our reading garden.

We have been learning about plants and how they grow. We have planted sunflower seeds, we have painted our own sunflowers and made a huge sunflower collage together!

We watched a Peppa Pig drawing tutorial on YouTube. The children had to carefully copy each step on their whiteboards. Here are pictures of the end results! We hope you like them.

Nursery have been learning about bread and where it comes from. They have read the story ‘The little red hen’ and have enjoyed trying different types of bread.

People who help us: Greengrocers. Nursery have love our new role play area.

Alleluia! Jesus is Risen! Nursery worked together and made a beautiful sunrise, a symbol that Jesus is alive.

25.4.22 Fruit tasting! Nursery have been learning about fruit and where it grows. Nursery have made us so proud trying different fruits! Some tasted sweet, some tasted bitter and sour. We each had a favourite.

Nursery have loved playing in our new water area!

We listened to the Easter story and made beautiful Easter cards.

01.04.22 Forest School- The children enjoyed taking part in an Easter Egg hunt!

28.3.22 People who help us: Police. Children have loved playing in the new role play area and learning all about how the police help us.

Edible butterfly life cycle. The children really enjoyed this activity!

Willd Animal Matching Game. We looked at wild animals and saw how they are different from each other.

Making Tigers! We read the story, ‘The tiger who came to tea’ and loked at real tigers, then we made our own out of paint and collage.

vocations visit- Nursery enjoyed a visit from a Health Visitor. She taught us how to weigh and measure a baby.

Nursery have been learning all about churches. They know that Sunday is God’s special day. They have made their own beautiful stained glass windows.

Forest School Friday- The children enjoyed making tree sprites in forest school this morning. The tree sprites are lucky and will be friends who look after the trees.

Playing Crocodiles and Islands!

Nursery had fun making the Beebots move and follow instructions!

31.1.22 The Selfish Crocodile. We listened to the story and talked about what happened in the story. We made a huge ‘Selfish Crocodile’ collage for the classroom.

This week we have been learning about how to take care of pets. We enjoyed a visit from our school dog Bonnie.

Phonics: instrumental sounds. Nursery have been having fun making quiet sounds and loud sounds.

Nursery have been mixing colours and making a beautiful rainbow!

Nursery have enjoyed exploring with shaving foam and making cupcakes! We have also practised our counting in maths this week

16.11.21 People who help us: Fire fighters. Today we learned about being a fire fighter. Children loved being fire fighters and painting bonfires!

P.E 12.11.21 The children used the cones as steering wheels and had to change speed and direction when the teacher told them.

Nursery sponsored walk! Nursery you are all super stars. Well done for completing 4 laps of the school field.

Autumn Class Liturgy: ‘Thank you God for making all the beautiful things in the world’

October 2021 P.E -Nursery have enjoyed playing with the parachute in the hall and games on the big playground.
