St Anne's School History
Saint Anne's Catholic Primary School was opened in September 1970, with a total of 98 children on roll. There were 4 teaching staff along with the Head teacher.
Over the years, numbers have steadily increased. In the early 1990's a mobile unit was sited on our school playing field, which houses the Nursery class. A period of growth in the school now sees us with a roll of over 210 school - aged pupils and 21 nursery children.
Our school is completely self - contained with its own hall (which also doubles as a well equipped gymnasium), school kitchen, dining hall, nurture room, 7 classrooms, cloakroom areas, nursery unit, offices and staff room.
The building is surrounded by two large playgrounds (one infant, one junior), a large playing field and grassed areas. The nursery enjoys its own fenced play area next to the mobile unit.
