Work for pupils isolating WB 8.3.21

Monday 8th March

Today we will be settling the children back into their normal school routine. We will be spending lots of time on PSHE and discussing any questions they may have.

We will be reading 'Mabel and the Mountain' and the children will be creating their own friend for Mabel and thinking about something big they would like to achieve this half-term. I have added the sheets below with images of Mabel and speech bubbles. This will form one of our class displays.

We will also be practising our handwriting, presentation in books and this week's spelling rules.

The -er sound spelt 'or' after w.

Can you highlight the 'er' sound and then change to the correct spelling?

werm

werk

werd

Words to practise for handwriting: word, work, worm

Tuesday 9th March

Today we will be completing our Values and Virtues work for this half-term and thinking about times when we have been attentive and discerning. We will also be completing a further lesson on the Unforgiving Servant in RE.

This afternoon, we will be learning about Sister Dora and thinking about the impact she had on hospitals in Walsall. I will add the resources we will be using below.

Handwriting- world, worth, worst.

Can you write these words into a sentence?
